Re: Mana Clash 8th Ed Glossy.

This is a counterfeit card from China. Whole booster packs and boxes of fake 8th were sold, but not every card in the set was printed.

Avery Heavy-Duty 5" EZD Ring Binders with 9-pocket pages

For those of you that store cards in binders, what kind of binders and pages do you use? For the last 20 years or so I've stored all my sets in Avery heavy duty 5-inch D-ring binders. The run about $25-30 online (more if you try to buy them in a local store), but I've found that they fit 100 9-pocke...

Re: Help on clearing up some language availabilities + some other questions

Additionally, s-chinese invasion also had only english foils. However s-chinese Invasion Foil Basics exist, they come from PRecon Decks ( Each deck had 1 foil basic) http://forum.magiclibrarities.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9867&p=88116&hilit=invasion+foil#p88116 Thanks! So I wonder if all art ve...

Re: Help on clearing up some language availabilities + some other questions

Hi l0qii :-) Hmm - that can't be true. Cause I have one Forest (Version 2, #348) in S-Chinese from Invasion (and in T-Chinese for comparison) (sry for the light on the images): Well that's unexpected. Can anyone explain this? It has been well documented S-Chinese Invasion boosters contain English f...

Re: Help on clearing up some language availabilities + some other questions

15) Mercadian Masques T-Chinese 'Forests' were printed in non-foil and NOT the foil versions. Right? Are there any other sets that has such a variation? (were all languages but one have both non-foil and foil version, and then there's just one languages that does not have the foi versions) S-Chines...

Re: Buy-a-Box and Standard Showdown Boosters

From what I understand the contents of both are the same, and only the way they are given out is different? Is that right?

Re: Buy-a-Box and Standard Showdown Boosters

At the moment both are very easy to buy online. Over time they will likely be somewhere between sealed promo packs, and regular buy-a-box promos. That is they will get somewhat difficult to find, but the value will probably top out pretty early.

Re: Mail Brag!

I've pulled packs like this out of a sealed booster box before. I guess you'll just have to collect 2 sets now, one sealed normally and to go with this super rare misprint set :-\'

Re: Glossy Ice Age

There are glossy versions of all English Ice Age cards, the whole set.
I don't know about other languages.

There is an old thread that discusses them further here viewtopic.php?f=42&t=9629&p=88367

Re: See-through boosters! Again!!!

That's impressive! What are you scanning with? I have some of these packs, but my scanner does not see through them, nor can I see through with my eyes. I also verified that wrappers are foil lined inside, so how does this work?

Re: Alpha/Beta set sales comps?

This is the difference between an asking price, and an actual selling price. Asking price alone is not a good estimate for the true value of a set

IlluXCon 2016

That time of year again. This year they moved the event to October and changed the venue to Reading, PA. If you've never been I highly recommend going. I'll be there, and may have a few goodies along with me for those that are interested

Re: Alpha/Beta set sales comps?

I sold my complete PSA graded Alpha set in 2014. The set was #4 on the PSA Registry at the time (now retired at #9 of all time). Details of the set including selling price are archived on their site http://www.psacard.com/psasetregistry/a ... 23954&ac=1
