I think someone on this forum pointed out that perhaps the rarest cards out there are those like summer farmstead, i.e. the worthless rares no one bothered to safeguard.

Was the deck you opened alpha or beta? Every beta starter I've seen opened has followed the print sheet map. However, I have only seen precious few beta starters opened...

I'm fine with collecting and making proxies for fun. As I mentioned in my post, I have made many for myself. What I have a problem with is when people sell them as the real thing, which seems to happen not so infrequently.

I never reported anything to WotC CS because I honestly just assumed it was something buggy on my end, like my browser or my connection or something. Glad to hear others here were on top of things though, even if their advice wasn't always taken.

Wow, sealed summer boosters have got to be the rarest and coolest mtg items ever! At least in my humble opinion... I can't even fathom an entire sealed box of summer boosters! :-O The only hypothetical find that would be more awesome would be a sealed alpha or beta booster full of two-cards-showing ...
