Re: Magic: Exact Rarities

Just to clarify the two comments above.  The different number of common land "fillers" on the rare sheets for Alpha and Beta don't make much difference in any of the calculations, since basic lands are always in such excess. However, the number of actual "rares" on those sheets does make a big ...

Re: An important warning, please heed this!

I to have had mail disappear, although I've only once had mail show up with slits and no product in it.  Some possible reasons and solutions. The one situation I had involved cards in a hard plastic holder which was placed in a regular envelope.  This problem has to do with high speed mail...

Re: Ebay bidding techniques

What  about the flip side?  As a bidder (I'm almost always the bidder ;D) I've been burned when my bid was missing a decimal point.  I've been forced to pay way more than I wanted because of this. But it seems like dealers get a free ride.  I recently won a buy-it-now bid that wa...

Re: Weatherlight album

I'm one of those that gave up on binders.  I kept having problems with pages sliding and putting cards in contact with the rings, or being creased by the weight of the binder.  The final straw came when I bought a group of Beta cards, only to find a Lotus creased by one of the binder rings...

Re: Middle Ages questions

I understand that there were the two "mail in" cards, but that was not what I was talking about.  Apparantly some small number of cards from the original printing were  artificially limited in the boosters, creating a small group of "rares".  They might not have been as rare as the ma...

Re: Middle Ages questions

I have accumulated a large partial set over the years, from a number of different sources.  One of these goes back many years and included stickers applied to Beta lands and to "blue-bordered" ice age commons.  I can confirm that  the Kanzaki Primeline Permanent adhesive sheets are th...

Re: Foiled lands with no pic aside from mana symbo

Bob once said that three FVF's (final fee value, whatever that means, heh) would get someone NARU'd.  is that the only circumstance, or are there others? i ask, 'cause i have found, on occasion, that some people who left me positive feedback were NARU'd, for a short time, and then they were ma...

Re: News on Gamingjim

I may be mistaken, but I don't think GamingJim was the magic spammer.  Last year I got the e-mails about "auctions and / or cards I might be interested in" enough that I eventually contacted eBay and blocked the e-mail addresses and server. I recently had some business dealings with GamingJim a...
