I agree, and have for some time agreed, that this site needs serious updating and broader membership from the Magic Community. This site was once the best not only for information on older rarities (it still is, at least for most categories it covers), but was also the melting pot for those who live...

Somewhere I have a couple of Unlimited cards (Gauntlet and Icy Manipulator) that came out of the Canada / Upstate New York offerings ~ 1998. These cards may have darkened a bit, but are as good as any counterfeit I have ever seen. The only easy way to tell they are counterfeit is using the light tes...

The diagonal cut (and perhaps some of the other cuts) seem a bit on the rough side. But the cards appear to have been completely printed. So the "problem" likely originated at the cutting station. My guess would be that when the printed sheets went to the card-cutting operation, the machine grabbed ...

That green-blue variation was a part of the entire set, or at least a part of the commons and basic lands. I don't know if it was the result of a color that changed hue over time, or just a bad color match. I have a number of cards including a stash of basic lands somewhere. They show exactly the sa...

MOT,

I sent you an e-mail. I am interested in many of your items.

I was the one who got the Orgg, when you got the Goblin Grenade. We had a few e-mail communications about them at the time.

I agree! Until something costs more than a Summer rare, it shouldn't even raise an eye.

Also remember that people used to actually play Alpha cards, usually without sleeves. If a card was popular in the A/B/U days then getting it in decent condition is tougher now, regardless of how bad it might be in current play.

You need to read your homeowners coverage very carefully. Many (most?) specifically exclude collectibles over some specific value (for my coverage it was $5,000) unless you purchase a special policy rider. The same is true for china, silver, jewelry, designer clothing, rare books, and anything consi...

Nah, opened em all. When the box is that crappy you just have to keep hope that SOMETHING will come out of it... Yup! been there, fortunately I was collecting sets so even bad cards are needed, just not too many of them. My feeling exactly. Give me 4 of everything, in perfect condition, preferably ...

Probably just a bad mix on the wear coat. The final coating on cards is a protective coating. It is usually a mixture of acrylic and urethane polymers. By controlling the polymer resins, and controlling certain additives, you can control the level of gloss of the finished product. Think of the diffe...

On the optimistic side, there were very few deaths from the Colorado Springs fires. There was however, a tremendous amount of property and infrastructure damage. If Gary's house was involved, or if the houses of any of his friends or family were involved, then he has far more important things going ...

In the US, most of the prices should be in dollars. But I think 2 of the sets would be priced a bit higher (in dollars). 4th Edition would be closer to $100 because of the new-found popularity of Land Tax. Arabian Nights sets are getting tougher to find in top condition. so $1300 - $1400 for the Ara...

Too much for me to handle. I only collect English language, and don't systematically collect misprints. I would love the sets, and the English promo cards.

Good Luck!

My annual Alt 4th wish list

Since Alt 4th has gained some popularity lately, maybe someone now has some cards I can use. I am also interested in additional rares to build another set, so let me know what you have! Rares: Armegeddon - 1 Blue Mana Battery - 1 Cockatrice - 2 Dingus Egg - 1 Gaia’s Liege - 1 Jayemdae Tome - 1 Jando...
