I see one Darksteel Sealed Foil set went for 270.00. Is that around what one should go for? I don't know if this is what they *should* go for, but the sets I mentioned went for ~160/small and I think ~190/large. I don't know if it's possible to raise in value so much in less than year, so either I ...

Sets (foil or regular) are sometimes given out as prizes in events organized directly by WotC, so another way of obtaining them is to either win one, or talk to the winner.
Last year a friend of mine won Mirrodin Block (!) foil sets in a side event at a PT (I helped him sell them through ebay).

Re: Sealed Suture Priests

there is no way to authenticate them except as you have mentioned and that authentication evaporates when the new set arrives. That's why I'm talking about sealed Suture Priests. A factory sealed pack of four that's been distributed to TOs is undoubtedly the promo "version" and this authentication ...

My theory would be that these starters are "normal" errors (you can call it random packaging errors or whatever you prefer) and the story about instructions for CM is just an explanation people came up with as a guess. Everybody heard about "golden [whatever]"; I personally owned seven-rares Zendika...

They look nice, but I'd never alter a signed card in a way that the signature is still visible. Doesn't feel right. Such alteration creates an impression that it was the original artist who did it (especially if it uses her artwork!) and to me it's more of a counterfeit than a masterpiece. I know Te...

Sealed Suture Priests

Apparently, Game Day Suture Priests are exactly the same as New Phyrexia ones - just like it was with the Striders. If somebody who collects promo cards (or Igor's cards in all variations, or whatever) wants them, they either have to buy them before NPH's release (and still, the card in their collec...

mkm :( It is the only source for me to get spanish cards. The seller with the unfoil Ronom was super fast. BUt the one with the wrong language foil... well I hate that. It is like throwing your money out of the window... I was so happy that I found a spanish foil Unicorn and then that surprise. Thi...

I'm not sure if this counts as "global dealer", but I have had a very good experience with http://lurkoneshop.it/ - the only problem is that they do not send internationally and I had to ask an Italian friend for help, but the cards were way cheaper than in any other store with Italian singles, all ...

GP Barcelona loot added to the have-list! :]
90 new cards obtained, mostly Italian. It leaves me with 249 more Drakes and 379 more Faeries to go! Still a lot, but progress is visible...

But I have almost no Russian cards...

Yes, this one! Thank you!

Looks like I hadn't remembered its contents correctly and thus didn't even think about checking "test prints [...]", but yeah, it's definitely this.

No. Maybe I wasn't clear the first time, but I'm talking about stuff like double prints, ink smears, incorrectly cut cards (off-centered, rotated, etc.) - all these random accidents. Squt's page shows mostly wrong data (numbers, names, illustrators, etc.), wrong pictures, translation errors...

Can't find a misprints page I saw one day...

One day, I accidentally found a wonderful page with various misprints, miscuts, crimps and similar stuff. I'm pretty sure it was somewhere here - either on the main page (but now it only lists some misprinted promos), or it was linked to on this forum. Now when I need it, I can't find it, but some o...
