Shooting star 16 expansion symbol
In the SOI deckbuilders toolkit there was a Aegis Angel "deck". Most of the cards are common and uncommon Battle for Zendikar, SOI and Oath of the Gatewatch cards, however there are 16 cards that have a different expansion symbol. It is a shooting star with a 16 after it. They are: Aegis Angel 001/0...

Re: 2 alt-4th boxes for sale on ebay
Isn't 799$ a low price for that? Or is it too good to be true? I see that the same seller has sold some of these in January and February around the same dates too. I have no idea what a good price would be. I guess if you want a set of sealed product this would be a key item.. A bit too much for me...

Re: In Memoriam of Artists That Are Gone
Wayne England and Christopher Rush back-to-back... a sad time for Magic fans indeed. :'-( I never met Wayne, but Chris was such a great guy when we met years ago at GenCon. I know he had some trouble for a while there - Gary was in touch with him when he lived in Colorado. Lately I thought he was d...

Re: Magic Memorabilia
Alexis; I'll try and make this link work but may have to send you a post instead. I have no dates for any of this and Matt may have already listed them above, if so sorry for the duplication. I have a bunch of pins and stuff I'll send picture of when I get back from Korea. https://www.dropbox.com/sh...

Re: Alpha Cut 4th Ed. How do you tell?
Real Alpha cut 4th cards have the black dot on the back and are back cut, see: http://greendisenchantproject.jimdo.com/dot-print-variants/ http://greendisenchantproject.jimdo.com/edge-cutting/ Those links were really interesting, For some reason I have not seen them before or just didn't notice the...

Re: Alpha Cut 4th Ed. How do you tell?
Unfortunately I just put those I had in the bank in preparation for a trip to Korea and do not know if they have dots or not. I should have taken scans of the backs too but was in a hurry.
Thanks Tav, I'll check them out when I return (assuming K-J-U) lets me come back.

Re: Alpha Cut 4th Ed. How do you tell?
Wow, thanks much guys, I have gotten a much bigger picture and more info than I expected and greatly appreciate it. I can't check the ones I have atm as I just put them into storage while I'm off to Korea so I have a "must do" as soon as I get back. I never thought to check to see if there was a dot...

Re: TheJGits' Misprints & Other Stuff
[quote="TheJGit"]Trying out a new way to protect/store/display my collection. Not nearly as spacially effective as a binder, but more presentable than a top loader. My misprint binder is also one of those Monster brand binders, and I never really liked that you couldn't see the card backs (but did l...

Re: Alpha Cut 4th Ed. How do you tell?
Tim; would it have come from a regular 4th ed booster/starter? Or is it more likely that a whole sealed product would be the same cut? Do you know of anyone that has actually pulled one--is there a video of such I wonder? Really not sure what to think. Jared; You confirm my suspicions. when teaching...

Alpha Cut 4th Ed. How do you tell?
If I posted this already, sorry for the re-run. I couldn't find it when I got back on the board and assumed i butterfingered the posting or the Dropbox thing. I have been presented with three "Alpha-cut 4th Ed cards" I rally know nothing about this variation except I have always had my doubts about ...
