I don't think there are theme decks in russian or chinese, but i'm not 100% sure about Portuguese or Spanish. I THINK i have a Portugese island from the coldsnap precon. I am putting together a global set of the island with heads on it in the pre-con (since technically it's a picture misprint - it's...

I found a box that said "Complete Set - 722 cards". Inside were Chinese BB 4th cards, but I think there are 370 cards in CH BB 4th. There were duplicates of a lot of rares, but after a quick scan I couldn't find a Shivan, so I think it's more likely two incomplete sets. (and before anyone asks, they...

Interesting point, Djinn. But do you have a precedent that you can cite? I know that many times when an older card is reprinted, the original goes up in value because people want to pimp out their T2 decks. But do you really think that the value of a card that currently sells for $1-2,000 would go U...

Would you buy it if it was $399? How could WOTC sell what's in the cube without pissing off collectors? Print the restricted cards without any artwork and blank backs?

I think that if you reprint any of the p9 in any playable form, it would anger collectors (myself included).

Do you have a creature-themed deck?

I recently broke out some of my old casual decks (i play almost exclusively limited now), and had some fun getting my ass stomped by one of my new coworkers who had an EDH deck. My casual deck was a 300-card "church" deck that was mostly angels, pimped out with foils and artist autographs. It was de...

Right...everything magic. But do you prefer to get your hands on cards, or weird non-card things like statues and pins?

Do you collect non-card stuff?

Just out of curiosity, how many of us here collect non-card stuff? There's soooo many promos and tokens and whatnot to collect that I usually stuck with card-only items. But there are tons of other things - statuettes, playmats, life counters, deck boxes...what's the norm? Do you limit what you coll...

I went 4-0, so i can say i had a great time! I went with treefolk, splashing white and blue for some blue fatties and fliers. I had two of the clash counterspell, so a couple of games i was able to get the upper hand and then just sit back and counter any threat they played, while smoothing out my d...
