Yesh. Id presume it's even harder for the mandarin speakers, as a lot of the names on legends and whatnot are transliterated into characters. Though when there's no nifty alphabet i guess people learn the characters faster.

It will for a while, but its an undercosted/overpowered dragon. It will probably creep up to $20+ as soon as people stop selling off all of their kamiblock stuff. Casual players love overpowered dragons, after all.

No, sorry for the confusion, the japanese ones have basic islands in the UW precon that have the art for the old snow-covered land (with the heads) instead of the normal IA "island" art. I believe it's a printing-sheet error though.

Stalking Tiger is that 3/3 3G card from Mirage and Portal 3 right? You will most likely be able to find some in the crap boxes that most japanese stores have. Very few japanese stores stock stuff older than T2, and if they do, 99% of it is crap. Can you speak Japanese well enough to be able to use the Postal Money Transfer system (anybody can get an account, I believe)? Where in Tokyo is he? Its quite a large place and theres a lot of stores. The Takara MTG website has a listing of all shops that do FNM in Japan.
