Magic cards have been listed on their marketplace for some time Gary. It was just near impossible to find them as none of their links would work to take you to them. Beckett has been trying to revamp their website for the last 10+ years to join the modern age. Their search function sucks, their regi...

As they have 56 of those babies listed, I'm pretty sure you are correct. Heck, by buying your copies and marking them up 200%, your remaining stock more than doubled in value!

Re: I hope are not an Alpha rare % print run collector becau

Pete and the gang are a few years late to the Alpha party and they'll need to pony up better than this if they want to join in. Considering ABU is paying a whole lot more for the same cards almost across the board like: Ancestral $1600 vs $1000 Animate Wall $100 vs $80 Ankh of Mishra $78 vs $60 Arma...

This is why instead of trying to amass a percentage of "AN" Alpha rare, I just decided to amass a percent of "ALL" the Alpha rares. Much easier to do the math that way! :-D And yes Gary, I was one of those guys back in the mid 90's that would happily buy any Alpha offered, usually having to part wit...

Sadly yes, the Lotus is a signed and numbered print of /100. Unfortunately for me, I passed on buying the original Black Lotus art in 1995 as I did not want to spend the $5000 that was being asked as I wanted to buy and flip a big collection of power that I bought instead, whoops! ](*,) This puts me...

Ya, ever since Williams stopped making them a few years ago, modern age Pin's have skyrocketed in price/value. I bought mine in a friends divorce sale a few years ago for $1100 and it's an easy sale today for $4k. Trying to figure out what to put in the open area I created with some shuffling and ca...

I think you should invite me to a party at your gameroom. You would have to like to play the classic arcade games Asteroids & Defender, ST:TNG Pinball, shoot pool or drink beer from the Kegerator! :-D If you ever find yourself in the Seattle area and want to make a short trek about half an hour nor...

what journey did it take? It went from the seller to a box, to a FedEX truck, to a FedEX Plane, back into a FedEX truck and then to me! :-D Seller claimed to have purchased them years ago and mentioned Chicago ComicCon but I did not delve deeply into a backstory. how did you end up with that? I had...

You are doing yourself a disservice Ben. There are easily more "fake" misprints out there than misgraded cards, be they sun bleached, sheet cut off center etc. Magic was marketed as a CCG and you seem to be forgetting that first C stands for collectible. There is ALOT of money to be made in high gra...

Something Pretty Cool and Unique!

Figure something like this deserved it's own thread based on coolness factor alone! Piece was the "Artist Jam" from 1994 Chicago ComicCon and just arrived and will be on my gameroom wall shortly, as soon as I replace the UV glass on the frame FedEx busted. >:-( Looks like a total of eight artists co...

Grading is a scam. None of my (admittedly modest) wins will ever be graded. tryst It's no more a scam than paying $50 or $100 for a piece of cardboard. Different folks collect different things and if someone is willing to pay 5x or 10x more than what an ungraded card sells for because an impartial ...

My 1300+ Alpha Rares salute the new standard for pricing!

Bummer on the Lotus, I told a friend to watch the card hit $5500-6000 and I was way too low it seems. Missed on alot of other cards too but at least I'll have something coming my way from that collection to add to the stash. :-D
