Re: A Personal note from Mystical_tutor

Best wishes Gary... remember 76 is the new 46 (btw, I'm actually 46, so you'll be in good company). :-P I've learned over the years that no one knows how long the ride will be, so enjoy it at all times. Who knows, you might be slinging cards at the WotC Magic the Gathering 50th anniversary celebrati...

Can't say about BGS, but I've sent to PSA a dozen times and every time my ID numbers wre consecutive - no gaps.

Re: No Love for an Alpha Starter on eBay?!

Hey GlobalBoosterHunter,

Yeah, the feedback does it for me... I don't care how much I want it, I'm not paying 4 figures to someone with 2 feedback. [-X

Oh, and the German only shipping can't help. :-P

Re: In Memoriam of Artists That Are Gone

Wayne England and Christopher Rush back-to-back... a sad time for Magic fans indeed. :'-( I never met Wayne, but Chris was such a great guy when we met years ago at GenCon. I know he had some trouble for a while there - Gary was in touch with him when he lived in Colorado. Lately I thought he was do...

Re: Real People on MtG cards

Back in "the day" it was very common practice to use real people for the models for vampires in the Jyhad card game. I think spouses, friends, Wizards employees, and other artists were commonly used. I have many of my vampires signed by both the model and the artist.

Re: Alpha Cut 4th Ed. How do you tell?

Hey Gary,

I know little about it too, but I've always shared your skepticism. I work in a print shop and we have die cutting machines; while printing MtG cards would involve a lot of work, I could Alpha cut anything you want en mass no problem. :-O

Re: Advice needed about APs

Hey Gary, Those are very cool - love Dan's big signature. :-P I don't know if anyone grades AP's, but they might. Since they have square corners you'd have to be careful... MtG collectors have no idea how rough graders are on corners that aren't sharp!! TBH you could probably sell as is - with your ...
