Korean Volrath's Shapeshifter

Hi all, Just saw a few boxes of Korean Stronghold go on aUctionsite - hoping that some of them went to members here, and maybe even to a member who plans to crank them open. First is likely, second not so much, but... (as per topic) I'm trying to find a Korean Volrath's Shapeshifter - any help great...

They could have avoided the wet factor by putting it in the same wrappers they use for player rewards. I agree - they did that with the VT/Deranged Hermit Mail-out, if I remember correctly? There were four cards in a pack together... or maybe they were loose too... anyone help with that one? I'm a ...

Just got a letter from Wotc, included a form letter thanking me for my efforts and a Dark Ritual. Huge, heavy duty envelope so the A4 letter wasn't folded, with the card just floating around in the bottom. So I guess we (judges) are all getting them? I'll post more when I have asked my local guys. C...

Interesting selection of cards too - I had always assumed the Pre-Release cards would be a separate print-run (although I thought the DCI promos would be also??) I can't quite make out if the Ryusei's are stamped? I assume this would happen after they were cut - be cool to have a stamped Glacial Ray...

I got mine while working in a store, open with a letter.

Also it had a crease in the foil (on top) but not in the card - like the foil was crinkled on the edge.

Anyhoo, hope this helps.

I'd love an explanation of the booster anomaly - and for the doubters, I was there when the booster was opened and there was no opportunity for foul play. I discussed the booster with a visitor to the store, and he told a story about Champions boosters with up to seven copies of Eye of Nowhere. Howe...

I'm sure you guys open a lot of boosters, but I thought I'd add that I've seen several upside down cards, back-to-front cards, and of course the famous "I got no rare..." packs. The best one so far though was a pack of Guildpact, during a draft, that had no uncommons and the rare was a foil from Bet...

There were a couple of judges that didn't make it at all, and a few more that arrived v late - apparently the US was a bit of a madhouse. Every leg of my flight was delayed, but I did make it...eventually!

Sorry to miss you Dil, maybe next time?

Yeah, someone decided to use those little yellow envelopes for the draft packs instead of plastic cases - and one of the players was a little too excited about getting into their pack. As one of the judges I 'yoinked' the Cancel and, as Mark Poole was on-site, went to get it signed.

Well, a one-of-a-kind Grand Prix Sydney souvenir must be a rarity, right?

I love the way he looks like his failing spell blew the corner off the card.

Your favourite MtG Rarity! (photos please...)

Hi everyone! To celebrate the new site, I thought I'd kick off an new thread, much in the same vein as the StarCity pimp thread, but for Rarities! Please post photos and apologise to the dial-up people if you feel you must - and keep it to things you _own_ (ie no eBay items you want to win) If you w...
