It might be too late now, but you can usually do a follow up to any feedback that is left (I think it is for up to 30 days after feedback is left).  Nothing you can do will be worthwhile to take away the negative.  My follow up would be to call him out for the fraud that he is, and to ask ...

Good thing I wasn't around.   If I had put in preemptive bids (you know the type ... just put  in $200 and pray no one else does) I might have had a real wallet hangover when the dust cleared.
