well, ok, it's not the worst things that happened to me, I didn't pay the card much, but still.
It has happened a lot to me since I need really specific versions of cards for my global sets, maybe a quarter of the cards I order are not what they supposed to be (and I'm talking edition and language, not condition :-\ )
I didn't expect it to be so hard. Do you guys have such problems ?

Not normally, but I suppose I've been rather lucky as far as language goes. when there isn't a picture, I send the names and ask the seller to verify which name matches the card. If the seller has the language/version of a card I want, then I buy.

I occasionally get the wrong version, but usually it's European Unlimited/4th misidentification.

My biggest issue is normally finding cards in NM/Mint condition.

Not a bad idea, I guess I'll ask for a scan now, but that's sometimes hard to understand for the seller when the card's worth almost nothing.

Btw, I'm looking for the Mahamoti salvat statue. Does anyone have a clue where I could get one ? (or let's dream, does anybody here have an extra ?)

I suppose if I were to let it go, the Mahamoti global project would be the best place for it.

this thread is getting really interesting....

@berkumps : would you really let your mahamoti go, or was it a way of talking (I'm sorry my knowledge of English doesn't allow me to understand all the subtilities in some expressions) ? I can at least assure you it would really be in a good home with me O:)

@Gary : I may understand more than what was really meant by your sentence, but are you suggesting you have the original Mahamoti Art ?????? Would you be kind enough to post some pics ?

Sorry, no. I shouldn't have dropped that in the middle of your thread as it was a comment to Berkumps.

Wish I had the original of either the Djinn or the Terror--I'd sure let you know.

thanks :)
As for the terror, Ron Spencer still has it, and since it's his favorite mtg art, it'll be hard to convince him to let it go ;)

Ask him to paint another, and then either sell you the first, or the second. :-\'

then I think I'll have to wait a bit to gather the huge amount of cash I'd need to convince him to do that.

As for the Mahamoti Original art, does anyone knows where it is ? And the art of the 7-8th edition ?
