Wayne England and Christopher Rush back-to-back... a sad time for Magic fans indeed.
I never met Wayne, but Chris was such a great guy when we met years ago at GenCon. I know he had some trouble for a while there - Gary was in touch with him when he lived in Colorado. Lately I thought he was doing better... you just never know how much time you have.
Take it easy,
Jared

Thanks to all those great artists for what they have accomplished : to make us dream about the fantastic universe they helped to create.

It was certainly a double wammy. I'm still in shock about it all.
I only met Wayne a couple times and remember him as a very aproachable and likeable guy.
Christopher hit me hard. I have known him for so long--not real close but as Todd Lockwood put it, you might not see him for some time but when you did it was like you just picked up where you left off. He seemed so upbeat at GenCon about getting back into the conventions and events and doing more work. I had planned on seeing him there this year.......sigh.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/465785763524867/
and the
the

https://www.facebook.com/groups/MTGmisprints/?fref=nf
The first auction is for a set of two sealed chroma cels by Ani Magine released in 1998: Black Lotus and Avenging Angel

The third auction is for a BGS 9 Serra Elemental misprint
All proceeds from these three auctions will be donated equally to the gofundme's started for the families of
Christopher Rush (by Jeff Ferreira), and

Ugh... super sad to hear about Thomas Gianni. I used to write him letters and have him sign my cards TTM - great guy.

Ugh... I'm going to have to quit logging in here... makes me sad.
Martin McKenna was such a great guy - always signed for me back in the day. He will be missed.

Hi Jared
It's never a fun task for me to update that topic, but I do it as it is the purpose.

Yeah, it happens whether I know or don't, so it's good to learn the truth. Still doesn't make it any less sad, though....
Thanks for keeping us up to date, even if it's tough (especially this year).
Best wishes,
Jared

Hey Dragsamou,
I heard that Roger Raupp passed away - any info on that? Looks like it was in December of 2019...
https://www.enworld.org/threads/roger-raupp.671848/
Have you heard anything about this?

Reading the comments in the link, in particular the one by Rowan, it does seem to be true, but with the name change and no obit or gravestone it'll be hard to independently confirm.

Hi
I will try to investigate, whenever I have time. Thanks for the info.
Forgotten Realms Wiki mentions his death:
https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Roger_Raupp
I'm sure you can order a death certificate from Bellingham, Washington from the Whatcom County health department, but I gave up on trying to let people know, because no one seemed to care. :-{
This seems to be the best idea, but I can't do it from Europe.

Same here, looks legit to me, I will try to get further verified info. If it's possible. In between, I have added his name with: UNDER INVESTIGATION.
EDIT: His death has been confirmed. I have posted in the MtG Art Market group on Facebook and did get an answer. First post updated with a card.

Sad to hear... was hoping I was wrong. He signed a few cards for me years ago through the mail. Seemed like a nice guy. The post I linked showed a Dragon magazine cover he illustrated... I instantly recognized it as one I loved back in the day (still have it).
