Storing Vanguard Cards

Post by l0qii » Sun May 11, 2008 9:26 pm

I've mentioned these in the past, but never had a pic. UltraPro makes pages and sleeves for post cards that are the perfect size for Vanguard cards as well. They are still made but got a little more difficult to find when they started making the 4-pocket playset pages for mini binders.

Since these pockets are so big, they get a lot of dust inside of them which can scratch the cards over time, so I recommend getting the post cards sleeves and then putting those in the pages. I don't actually own these sleeves yet, if anyone has some let me know. I don't really want to buy 100 of them.

I originally bought these years ago for storing my sealed packs in. They also work well for that as long as the pages are filled bottom pockets first. If you put 2 packs on the top and leave the bottom empty, then the weight will warp the pages after while.

Hey 10qii,

Are those the same size as a standard 9-pocket page? If so I have a bunch I bought from BCW, and they are pretty nice. I use them for cards that I've placed in penney sleeves and then CS1's, and also for letters and postcards that I've gotten from artists over the years. They also work OK for storing deckboxes that are flattened out (the skinny ABU boxes fit perfectly). I have albums with slipcovers, so dust isn't really an issue

Not sure how many you want, but I could probably spare a couple if that's all you're looking for - lmk.

Yeah these are the standard size pages. I only need 1 page, it's the large size penny sleeves that I really need. Nobody local carries them and it's not worth buying online.

Aren't these available for sale anymore on the Ultra Pro website ?

I am also looking for the pages for the Oversized cards. But so far could not find any.

If these are available for sale, we should organize ourselves so that 1 buys the box, and shares with the others, correct ?

They are easily available on ebay, I just don't want to buy a whole box of them.

You can also find all different types of album pages at BCW's website, if your interested - I've ordered from them many times and never had an issue.

Can you give me the link please ?

Also, who wants these pages and how many ? I may buy one box to help others but the pages have to be paid before I ship. I don't want to end up in a situation I encountered lately from a member here that I really did not appreciate.
