Very cool - thanks for sharing. I'm not sure if Nene did that herself, or if a collector put it together. I do know that the original art for Hexatomb was up on eBay a while back, and it was just the painting in a frame - nothing elaborate like you have there. As for the AP's, perhaps she only gave out 22 and did something else with the rest? I know some artists keep a certain # for themselves... just a thought.

Take it easy,
Jared
My buddy bought it from her long ago and was of the impression that she did it. The fact that all APs are the same number indicates there was some thought put into it.

Well, I remember hearing some heated comments at one time about the number of AP a certain artist got for a certain set. He was real put out. the distribution was NOT always consistant.

Even just recently Chris Rahn received only 35 copies of Mikaeus the Unhallowed proofs.

So would not be suprised if Ne Ne received 22. But only the artist would know in the end.

That is an interesting thought, Len. Sure could be, never thought of it myself.

As an aside,

Is there a way to tell if glass is UV resistant? He and I have no idea about this and I'd hate to hang it where it would fade.

The Chief of Staff for all things house related has given me permission to hang this in the front room she was so positively impressed with it. That is only the second time that has happened (Mark Zug's 7th ed Serra Angel is the other).

Never been to Istanbul, I was just using the closest mental image I had (Hagia Sofia) without referencing the image. Obviously looking at actual images I agree to the dissimilarity, but in my mind, it was good enough :P

I do want to go one day, though.

as per random googled info...
1) if your eye sight is good enough you should be able to shine light through and see a "wavy" texture on the inside of the glass

2) the cut sides of non-UV glass are green where UV/museum glass will be either orange or purple

good luck, sounds like its kinda hard to find out if you don't already know.

hay! Thats a start. I'll try the wavy thing first because I would need to take the frame off to see the cut edges..

Thanks for the help, it gives me a starting place. I may just change the glass to make sure.

The only thing that would surprise me in your collection now is if you got a Summer Plateau signed like that !

Having Summer cards signed I feel is just as bad as creasing a Summer card. Almost all Summer collectors want these cards unsigned and at this point I think it would be a waste to try for a signed Summer set because I don't think all the artists are still round but I could be wrong.

The Revised Plat on the other hand is pretty awesome. Grats Markers.

I don't think this is as awesome as some of the other stuff that comes through this thread, but I was rather happy to come into them nonetheless. Some pickups from earlier in the week:

The alpha-cut 4th one is in harder shape than I would have liked, but I got it for a steal, so I'm not complaining. The Korean one was just too nice to really pass up.
