This has been posted in a few places. It gave me a good laugh on the first read.

In all honesty I used to be deathly afraid of women/people in general knowing about my hobby. It took me a long time (perhaps stupidly) to realize that anyone who did not want to be involved with me based on something as small as a hobby like MTG most likely fit into two categories;

1. A very boring person.

2. Shallow and most likely of lesser intelligence.

Two things - I - prefer to not be associated with.

Quite frankly, fuck her Finkle is boss.
squt: Sweet! That's the best trade - one that doesn't cost a thing.

Wow, if I were her, I'd think he was an idiot for taking her to see a Dahmer play on the first date. That is downright creepy. But MtG? She obviously has something against nerds if THAT was a bigger deal than seeing that creepy play.

Who didn't? ;) I used to hide from my non-Magic friends the fact that I like to play with pieces of cardboard with dragons and stuff on them, I thought it would have sounded silly. At some point, however, they started to enquire about my frequent travels (most of them, Magic-related) and it turned out they listen about the game with curiosity and not disregard. Most of them didn't have the slightest idea of such form of entertainment and they find it interesting.

Anyway, I seriously don't get it how being so passionate about one's hobby is something bad. And calling a guy "liar" because he didn't brag about his title in his profile is just pathetic. Actually, the entire article is pathetic. In moments like this, I'm ashamed of being a woman...
