Upcoming Underworld Dreams Promo

Post by rick21n » Fri Oct 07, 2005 10:40 pm

Two Headed Giant Event sponsored by WOTC

November 11/12/or 13

All partcipants get foil promo Underworld Dreams

New players to the location get a exlusive Magic BEANIE.

Teams get 1 40-card deck and 4 boosters to build with.

Had a scan but it doesn't look right online... will try again for more info if needed. No images of promo yet.

Should be run kind of like a release event at the local shop level.

Well I had hoped for more info on this. My main question is what is the numbering like at the bottom of this card? I am curious to know if we are seeing some new card category type, ie. launch of a new promo line.

I'm actually fairly curious about this as well, not only would I like the Underworld Dreams but would like to play in the 2HG tourney.
There doesnt seem to be any information about this on WOTC's site and the Texas Magic League doesnt have anything either.

Guess we have to wait for these to hit eBay.

Doing some google searches for these has turned up some venues running the tournies and stating the first 32 get these. I would like to try this format as it is still sealed, which is my prefered tourney type. Plan to call venues local that run release events in the area normally to see if they are running any.

Sigh....why does this have to be so hard?

My local shop had all the promotional posters and whatnot the same night of the Ravnica release. It's supposed to be the 12, 13 and 14 of November (store's choice).

The Underworld Dreams is listed as a free foil giveaway for participation, though the format was not listed.

Ugh. I swear, the BIGGEST problem with these recent team tournaments (other than some exorbitant price tags) is the odd number of rares. 7 rares. How is a two-person team supposed to divide up 7 rares? Well, then again how are we supposed to divide up 8 rares when one is a new dual and the others all suck. At least then, though, we can just divide up the packs and keep the rares we open.

On the promo, that is pretty cool, the old Underworld Dreams art. (But why couldn't it be a Two-Headed Giant of Foriys? :( ;))

dividing rares is easy... one person pays and keeps all.
or, you assign prices to each card, and divide that way..

if you cant find a partner that can agree to even splits, meh.

Well, unless one person pays and takes them all, I don't think I'd really ever feel like the split was even much of the time. Even if we pay evenly and one person gets the new dual and the other gets *all* the other cards, it won't be fair in value.

If you are worried so much about the money card, then pre-agree that should one appear and if both want it, either sell it and split the proceeds or have one person for half the current market value to the other. Or play ante for it
:D
