Post by inmelody » Thu Feb 09, 2006 1:30 pm

I have just got the latest tokens, the alpha version include 9 cards, shown as follow (exclude 1 pegasus token which I didn't take picture of).

With the amount of effort people put into these knock-off tokens, you'd think they'd take the time to correct the grammar and/or spelling on the flavor text.

Better yet just leave the flavor text off. Third-party tokens tend to have the weakest flavor text.

Very pretty artwork though...

shame on them~~~you should know these English tokens are not actually form an English-speaking country....and even the latest wizards player award tokens don't provide rich flavored descriptions which I think is a bad,bad idea.

why does a saproling have a zombie related flavor text... from a necromancer?
Never argue with an Idiot, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

No flavor text is better than silly or poorly written flavor text. I'd rather have a token that says nothing. Some of the flavor texts from GamingEtc tokens make me want to claw my eyes out they're so bad.

I was not aware that the flavor text on these tokens was written by someone for whom English is a second language. But now that I know I find myself wondering why they didn't produce their tokens in their native tongue? They'd probably be worth more. Either way they should have gotten a proofreader.
