The cards were provided by forum member coolio. Let him speak for himself. Personally, I have heard of the existence of standard cards with a prerelease date stamp before, so I believe they are real.
Although misprints aren't my forte, I too have also heard of these cards existing.

I'm absolutely sure that I've already seen this kind of misprints, 6 or 7 months ago, here in Paris...

I saw one of them at Jussieu, the other at Ostelen before they bankrupted, three months before. (It was the same seller)
I don't know the guy's name, and I think he doesn't play Magic now... :-/
