Portal Booster Packs

I just ran into 1224 loose packs of Portal for a price I couldn't pass up and was wondering about how much I should expect to get for them and where the best place to dump them is.

That is awesome. I should think that if you sold them on eBay you'd do alright. Black bordered portal goodness fetches a decent price in my experience.

Depending on the price here may be a good start on dumping some of them. Portal one packs avg about $3.25ish on ebay in small lots of less then 10. Not that there aren't exceptions.

i just bought a sealed box for $140.

so it appears that around $3.90 is the going rate.

wow i can still buy portal at my local game store for $2.50 eather you guys are paying to much or i am getting a good deal.

for a short while there were sets of 60 packs each of portal 2 on ebay selling for 40-50 dollars a peice. Thus, I suspect you would be better off selling them in smaller lots. Sure it's annoying, but you don't want to saturate the market. Here, on the other hand, is a great place to offer them at a fixed price. I'm interested in them for 1 dollar a peice if you'll sell some, but I'm a broke college student who couldn't afford the 55 dollars I just let a 1996 championship innaugural thingy go for on ebay.

You can pick up starter cases for about $30-35, which is 12 starter sets (with a booster pack in each).

Less than $3.00 per pack...though you end up with a bunch of extra cards.

For the record, I would be interested in some depending on price, but as was accurately stated, they can be purchased for, effectively, less than $3 a booster (getting the 2-player starters for under $3 each).

But portal is fun, so interested..;-)
