Portal 2 Distribution question
Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone knows how much a box of Portal 2 (booster) would be worth and also if Sea Drake is a very "hard" uncommon to get.
Thanks.

Booster Boxes are scarce now on Ebay,I will say in the 200 range,if you can find some.Per experience, you will not get for sure a Sea Drake,as this is a "Godly" Uncommon,be happy,if you get one in your Box ;-)

Yay, I get to chime in!Ralph Herold wrote:Thanks for the info. I know the card can be abused and is a potential combo piece, yet I wonder whether there is a popular deck built around it.
Currently, a deck called Faerie Stompy, created and tuned on mtgthesource.com, uses the card as its main win condition. It uses 2-mana lands (Ancient Tomb and City of Traitors) to both power out big Fliers (Sea Drake and Serendib Efreet) and to generate mana with Cloud of Faeries. It also uses equipment like Sword of Fire and Ice and Umezawa's Jitte to make it's threats more potent. What makes the deck really work is it's ability to run Chalice of the Void and Force of Will, which are powerhouses in Legacy. Often you see plays like Turn 1 Ancient Tomb, Chrome Mox imprinting a blue card, and Sea Drake (you fail to find two lands to return, so you return none). Also, you see this followed by an Island turn 2, Tap Island and Tomb for Cloud of Faeries, tap them again with Mox for 5 mana, drop Sword of Fire and Ice and equip it to attack for 8 on turn 2. Oh, and you draw a card. It's a very good deck, and the scarcity of Sea Drake really drove the price up.

Now, your mileage may vary on this but..
I opened 225 of the two player starters, which contained a bunch of fixed cards and, of course, 225 boosters.
I got...get this...25 Sea Drakes from those 225 boosters.
And, thankfully, didn't start selling them off until the price went through the roof.
So, using only my random experience, I would say try using the 2-player starters. You also get some good cards (land, volcanic hammer, etc), and a booster that, in my experience, is good for drakes.
But I cannot promise anything at all..;-)
