Psa Grading, some more bad news.

Post by pickle.69 » Wed Dec 14, 2005 3:48 pm

PSA cards are considert extreamly high in value if you get high grads for them.
Especially for alpha and beta cards you can have hugh profits if the mint cards you send in get graded as 10.

Example PSA 10 Beta Lotus was sold for $6.000+ on ebay.
Circle Black Beta 10 was sold for $46, and so on.

I have seen big problems with psa cards also and saldy now had to experiance two myslef:

A Beta Shivan was graded as an Alpha card.
A Alpha Wrath of God was damaged by them in the process and therfor only got a less grad as expacted.
The card was perfect in all ways. And I realy mean it. It is one of the few Alpha cards I had that was a peppermint card. All four corners perfect cut, very rare for alpha as you guys all should know. Perfect cenntering, no marks no dings no fingerprints no cutlines no coloring defect. You name it this card had it 10/10.
I have had 2 Beta P9 that later where send in that I sad where a 9 in my eyes and then realy got it. this WoG was a 100% 10.
When I got it back it was a 8 and has a white mark in one of the corners.

Further I have found:
5th edition BoP graded as Unlimited.
Summer as revised (which in there eyes should not even be a real card at all)
crimped cards as 6

Rumors:
the more you send in the better your grads get

Any thing to add? What weirdo things do you allready see?
Did they damage one of your cards allready too?

For me I will not send any card in anymore.
I might buy some Alpha Shivans and DDT, but that should be it for my PSA carrere.

Which are other more serios Companies?

Well, there's that Volcanic Eruption that's labeled as Volcanic Island, or whatever it was. They graded a crimp as a 6, I do know that.
