When searching for something like this, it is definitely like searching for a needle in the haystack. I myself, am looking for the Dakmor Sorceress original by Matthew Wilson. I digress here though. Not know where to begin, I thought, hey why not ask the artist himself to see what can be obtained. Thankfully Matthew Wilson's contact info I had was up to date, so not only did my message get to him, but he gratefully replied. I found out the orinigal I am in search of was sold at a PT even in Japan, and no records of whom it was sold to were still around. Might I suggest contact Doug Shuler to see if he might have any leads for you to try and follow? You might get lucky at get the name of whom bought it from him. This info is probably dated, but Douglas Shuler's info I saw in an old post is:

This info was from an old 5/15/04 post on WOTC's boards, and I know the website link is non-functional. I know this is not the direct answer you are looking for, but as someone trying to find an orignal himself, I thought I would at least give you an idea of where to start.
