PSA Grading Questions

Does anyone know when PSA began grading MTG cards? I would also like to know what the avg. price for power was just prior to PSA grading.

They have been grading Magic (and pokemon) since at least 2001. Values of ungraded cards have gone up consideraly since then, but I think that is mostly due to other factors.
