OK, if anyone is sending me anything, we celebrate Christmas on January 6th. So you have two more weeks. After that I will fly to North Pole to check things out :)

HO HO HO.... Santa is alive and well.

No gift this week, no worries it will be Christmas whenever it gets here.

On the way home from an aborted golf game (they closed the course at noon). gas gage started buzzing. Wife says, no worries I'm going to a friends house later so I'll get it then.

Hummm, not good. Old Northern weather training kicks in--always keep the gas tank full. I turned around and went back to the corner station. It is in the strip mall where my postal box is.

"Honey, go check the mail while I fill up,"
Honey returning, "They are already closed"

Ding, it is full, now I feel better.

"Mr. Adkison"..
"Oh hi Jason. Kyong said you were closed.."
"We are but I saw her and thought you would like your packages.."

First time in my life I have ever seen so many postage stamps that they have been used as Christmas wrapping and Looking at the address, I realized Santa has been wintering at the south pole.

Thanks Santa.

Merry Christmas to yall, and to yall a good night.

Couldn't have cut it any finer than that I guess! If I had stopped to wrap it up properly it wouldnt have made it in time.

PS, it isn't wrapped up very well :)

Christmas has already started here, so I opened one of mine this morning when the family came over, or rather my niece ripped into it the minute she saw it, I am pretty sure she can smell chocolate from a mile away. Very nice, especially the 'sweet sloops' not had anything like them before and I saw my mother-in-law pocketing a few to take upstairs so she iked them as well. Brother-in-law was not sure so he had to try one of each to see which one he liked best.

We will be opening the rest of the presents before dinner, unless my wife or niece finds them first.

They are from a place in New England called Harbor Sweets, fantastic home made chocolate, I hope you enjoy them.
And Merry Christmas everyone! :-D
I have enough cards to stack them all up, and commit suicide off the top!

I received my Christmas gift from Ulli yesterday in the mail, but since I haven't received word that what I sent has been received by it's recipient, I'm just gonna have to wait.

I did send it a little late, so my apologies!

When my brother was in the Navy they got the mail for their ship in a bag that was run across a line between two ships. In rough weather this was quite a drill.

What do they do now?

It's dropped off by a helicopter. the mail (in orange synthetic bags) is placed in an enormous 4'x4'x4' cardboard box affectionately referred to as a tri-wall (don't ask, I don't come up with the names) that is placed on top of a pallet, which the helicopter carries via large straps. Haven't seen a mail pallet bust and spill into the ocean. Saw one that had food bust in mid-air, though, but it's contents didn't spill into the ocean. That was crazy. Don't know how the pilot managed to get the busted pallet to the flight deck without spilling anything!

My Santa did what Santas do, he made the little child in me happy. How did he do that? Well, he took the collecting part out of my pastime by sending me half of my want list (okay, sort of). See for yourself:

Yes, the signed card in the middle is my first ever artist proof!

Thx Santa! Your name has officially been added to those on the half-title page of my collection who contributed to it.
