Well, that's what the crooks call handling.......common way for them to make back their money and then some for selling the item under market value...
One thing to remember, if they charge you $18 and say it will be shipped a certain way and its not, that is a ebay violation and you can request a refund....the smart ones just say shipping and handling.......and don't list the shipping method.
I had a jerk charge me $7 per auction once for DVDs cause I didn't read the fine print........claimed USPS Priority......they all came first class, I complained to ebay and got a refund on the difference......and a dirty email from the seller telling me I was ruining his business.....

there is a place where you can indicate this kind of violation to ebay.
I think its called something like "avoid ebay fees, infringe ebay laws..."
Something like that.

Ebay sellers are like that. For card auctions, US to US sales are still alright, some sellers only charge $1-2 which is still in the range of acceptance. overseas I get charged $3-10+ for 1 card. Read -> 1 card!
I pay the $3 shipping and lo and behold the shipping to Singapore costs $0.90 as I predicted. The last time someone try to charge me $8-9 for shipping a foil city of brass, I got a member from US to take the card for me, and it only cost me $2 (card came in an envelope and shipped first class, thats about it). I myself will charge slightly higher than normal shipping, but its pretty much justified. I charge $4 for registered shipping, shipping in Singapore costs a little over $2, and the rest is spent on my bus fare to head down to the post office to post out a registered article.
I reported sellers many times, most lowered their shipping prices drastically after ebay had a word with them

That's what many foreign buyers do, but many US sellers do not ship overseas anymore because of that.dragsamou wrote:Well, I should be a Snake like these sellers and request Full money back as I did not received nothing and they canno't provide Registrated receiptpickle.69 wrote:there is a place where you can indicate this kind of violation to ebay.

But I agree with you. It happened to me several times. One UK seller overcharged me the shipping fees by $90. My complaint was refused by Paypal.
You can always leave a negative feedback, but you'll be more likely to get one in return, unless you wait till the seller leaves feedback for you.
I know that's the wrongest part with Ebay, you get F..... and on top, you get a Negative Retaliation Feedback, while you have done everything correctly on your partmagic-belgium wrote: You can always leave a negative feedback, but you'll be more likely to get one in return, unless you wait till the seller leaves feedback for you.

Sure, but once you know that, you can refund the buyer for part of the difference.johnstown713 wrote:Honestly in the past I have overcharged people by mistake just on the fact some post offices only do certain types of shipping to different parts of the world. So something that would cost 15 ends up maybe costing 9.
Now, when I receive a package like this, I tell Paypal I did not receive it, and when I am refunded, I send the package back to the seller.
I once bought a Loot card for WoW TCG, and received a normal card instead (a difference of $60) and on top of this, I had been charged $19 for the shipping. That was a scam of $80 for a card worth $0.75 he sent me.
I opened a dispute with paypal. The seller said he would send me another one and he would not refund me. I was refunded, I sent the card back. I never heard from him again.

The best part is when you ask why do they charge 10$ for shipping when the send a regular letter with a stamp of 0.8$... They answer :
"I charge 10$ to cover shipping & Handing fees :
Letter, stamp, time to post the Ebay auction, time to go to the post office, Gas, Electricity ..."
Do they charge us when they F... with there wife ?
They Should.

The thing is that it does not make them change about shipping fees. They prefer to stop selling outside of the USA...wizard1 wrote:IF you wanna be very mean AND you paid with paypal then the answer is simple. (I do not condone this but I know it happens). If you paid for registered mail and they just shipped it standard then just file a claim that you didnt receive the item and stick it to 'em.

that's not normal dragsamou.
You have 2 solutions to recover this "wrong" s&h.
1) Try to ask a refund for the difference to the seller.
You explain that you have asked a registered sending via USPS first class.
If he doesn't want..
2) There you begin to laugh ..and you fill a paypal complain to not have receive your item or beter for a bad description (there's several solutions for the complain choose the most appropriate).
Normaly with 99% chance you'll see your partial refund before the closing of complain
A lot of ebay sellers are not correct with there S&H.
With years of experience, check always theire shipping system.
System likes 0.5 euro or 0.5 cent for each supplementary items that's cover theire ebay fees are f*** system
Soms sellers sell there stuff a little bit higher but if you look further you'll see honestly S&H so finaly you'll win money.
For example for some US seller :
1 to 30 cards 7$ with usps first class etc...
That's the best ones.
Of course they don't begin there auctions at 0.01$
But finaly cheaper ....
Honnest guys are so rare....
Happy new year to everyone on this forum
