I don't know if anyone is looking to start collecting sealed World Championship decks, but there is a rare auction for a complete set of sealed decks:

Yup, watching. Although I think the seller's reserve might be higher than bidders are willing to pay, but time will tell.

I collect them, but I have half of them and wouldn't want to have to deal with the extras of all of them and I actually play with mine, so condition isn't an issue.

If people are looking for individual decks I could report auctions that they're interested in. I just mentioned this one as I've only seen one previous auction with all of the decks a couple years ago, and in the previous auction they weren't sealed. The sealed 1997 decks are the hard ones to find -- I've traded away two sealed 1997 sets for about $200 each time. I would figure that an intelligent reserve for this auction would be about $400 to $500.

If anyone is looking for individual decks, I have 16 different ones that I could trade/sell (mostly sealed) and duplicates of some of the decks.

If you have any opened decks that have been played or whatnot, I would be interested int hem. I'm not looking to collect them for collection purposes, but rather to play with.

Too expensive. You can get individual decks for cheaper.

Mark, if you need some, I have some duplicates.

Why does the seller write in bold here :

The original 1996 New York City set of eight decks from Michael Laconto, Eric Tam, Bertrand Lestree, Shawn “Hammer” Regnier, Leon Lindback, George Baxter, Preston Poulter, and Mark Justice. New in the box and shrink wrapped.

My snipe was set at $500, and even that I thought was high. I would not be suprised if this ends with reserve not met.

Well, somebody bought it.

The person who bought it for $600 was the 2nd highest bidder from the first time this was listed and the reserve not met. I guess the highest bidder the first time was frustrated that a bid higher than $660.10 wasn't enough to take it down, so just gave up.

I'm sure the first time this was listed, it had a stupid reserve, just to see how high the bidding would go, to get an idea where to start the bidding for the "actual" auction.
