I have a Tempest Sliver deck like this. They are quite cool to own. I actually play games with mine!

actually I thought it would end higher. I'm quite happy with this purchase =D>
I recently acquired another totally miscut precon which is asymetrically miscut (i.e. all cards miscut on the back only showing 2 cards - about 10 of showing the colorful striped edge of sheet- ). It looks very cool.

I used to go to tournaments & annoy the hell out of the judges with my misprints. Basicly, the conclusion/ agreement that they all have come to is this-
Play with sleeves that are opaque. You cannot give anyone any reason to think you are cheating.
The attitude is that "well, Wizards DID print it like that, so, I guess so..."
If a card is miscut, has streaks, whatever, the key factor is that ALL important information be still on the card or readable. For instance, my Black Vise miscut is fine to play even if it is missing the bottom 1/2 inch, but my similar Gorilla Shaman is not, because the power & toughness is not shown.
Most importantly, when in doubt, ask a judge before playing, & bring a spare "normal" card in case you are turned down.

For those of you looking for more, just remember that Carta Mundi usually prints two 60-card decks on each uncut sheet (with one blank filler). So if there is one miscut deck, then another should be around as well. And since each sheet normally has two different precons from the same set (2 sheets for the typical 4 decks), it will be a different deck with the same offset.

So for every pair of miscut theme decks, there is a miscut filler? Anybody have/seen one of these?

These would be pretty tough to find, because they are normally (automatically) discarded to the shredder pile. You would need many miscut decks, or an amazing calamity (or perhaps a sticky-fingered CM employee) to have one of those surface.berkumps wrote:So for every pair of miscut theme decks, there is a miscut filler? I have a miscut filler card, but I am not sure if it came from a precon.

Well with no available scanner at my disposal, it's not an easy task.
But it's easy to describe. The back is normal/ centered MTG back. The front is 90% silver foil/ blank, with 10% (on the right) just plain white. Typical of an edge of sheet miscut.... but not usually blank!
I've had this since before 8th edition, so I know its an old school foil card. It even has a foil cut line on it as well, that runs horizontally near the bottom.
Oh yea, so if it's foil, I guess it's not for precons then, is it? Whatever... it's a misprinted foil filler, just not sure of its origin.
