Harry Potter backed MTG precon listed

Post by berkumps » Fri Nov 30, 2012 10:00 pm

I never thought I'd see this listed for auction:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Magic-the-Gathe ... 3ccce2a92e

Why it's 59 cards and not 60, I'm not sure. Was there a filler in the deck?

It's too bad it's a zero fb seller, I wouldn't bid unless I could see it in person (or perhaps a video). Then again, I wouldn't bid to begin with knowing "...The "Goblin Mob" deck was sold 13,100$ to a private collector on Ebay, after an epic try from Magic Rarities Members to get it. "

That's just too much coin for my purse.

Might be time to put my Pokemon-backed uncut sheet on the market.

The thing is that the guy has zero feedback, but he has the pictures...

Has anyone talked to him about them?

I contacted him and asked if the cards could be bought in person as he had a new profile.

Someone from WotC ?

If I win this, I will let all duplicates go to people who will be interested in getting cards. Not trying to make profits.

Just to make things clear before I win this, here is how I will calculate the price of a card :

price of the same card on MKM: Calculate the total price of the deck and then apply what we call in France the rule of the 3.

Example : deck on MKM is worth 50, Ebay HP deck is 5000, each card will be 100 times the price of the one on MKM.

I would like to have one too but I think this will get too serious for me.

My limited "you know where" experience is that serious bidders never show up until the last day, except for those that are willing to pay the opening price and want to break the BIN.

It will be interesting to watch though....

Best of luck buddy.

I agree. Though the guy has a new profile, and sniping on an auction like this could be risky when the seller is unknown.

Let's see...

If you do win this I would love to get one of the skirk commandos. If you need to get rid of others also, I could also take some, but the commando is what I am most interested in if you get it and it is available. Jason

You may check the deck itself and see if there are duplicates. I will make the duplicates available and keep one of each 26 cards. 33 cards will be available then.

I contacted him and he said he found them at a garage sale.
