I did get one, from another vendor, because I never could get to that first auction.

I never got e-mails, but eventually got the first PM, which I responded to. In my answer I stated that I couldn't get to the original ad as an "American", meaning I wasn't even allowed to bid, but that I could buy the same item from another vendor. I stated that I would buy from the other vendor.
The next time you ask for a favor, you should cancel the first favor request before asking someone else. I now have paid for an item being shipped to my house that I didn't want and can't return.
