Warning on high value Alphas !

Post by tromagic » Fri Oct 10, 2014 12:50 pm

Just saw those auctions on ebay :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/151437716600?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
http://www.ebay.com/itm/151437718142?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

Those cards look like beta :
Corners are "less round". On the drain power alpha there is "little white dot" on top left edge.

My guess is a mislabel at PSA (shame on them).

PSA has mislabeled cards before. They will correct the error for free.

Beta cards. PSA could have made a mistake. But the real question is : is the seller aware of that and trying to sell them as Alphas ? :-k Not sure because in is previous feedbacks, he seems to be mostly a sports cards seller...

Question from tromagic (me on ebay) :
Bonjour platinumcards233,

This is a beta. On alpha the edges top left got little white dot.
Here it s very very dark, like on the beta one.
I think those cards are miss labeled.

Drain Power Alpha 1 of 1 = $3000+
Drain Power Beta 1 of 10 = $100-150

Forcefield Alpha 1 of 2 = $5000+
Forcefield Beta 1 of 3 = $1000ish

Seller likely knows EXACTLY what he has and is trying to cash in on the mislabeled cards. Hopefully folks that would be interested in these cards take the time to look at the scans and the fact the seller does not offer returns.

I wrote him too, and it seems the auctions have now ended. Good thing.
