Alternate Art R&D's Secret Lair ?

I was reading some of the daily questions on the "Ask Wizards" page on wizards.com and found something interesting.

I collect one of all English Lands there are (except summer duals..too expensive for me:P) and this rumor makes me wonder if any of you have ever heard anything about this Alternate Art R&D's Secret Lair.

Is Paul Sottosanti just starting a rumor based on absolutely nothing or is there really an alternate art out there?

Any info or thoughts from you experts are appreciated! :D
