How much for a Summer Edgar Complete Set ?

Post by magic-belgium » Tue Jun 17, 2008 9:58 am

Hello !

It's been a long time since we last had a poll here.

Reading some threads, I am now wondering how much a Summer Edgar Set could cost today.

Any idea ?

Patrick

Well prices for summer dropped a lot during the last 2 years.

avg. rare ~500$
avg. uncommen ~100$
avg. common ~50$

-> 71.500$
plus the good cards bonus (duals, serendib, hurricane, ...)
-> my guess is ~100.000$

But due to the fact that there are only 2-3 complete sets, i think you need to add a 'complete set' factor to the calculation.

So i think a complete set would me more 150-200k, but i'm only a little collector w/o summer ;-)

That could be fun, that's true.

Wonder who could buy this at a decent price. Because the question always is : "do I have the money to buy that right now".

Is there really a person who sells a complete set??? It's already difficult to find a person who has a complete set!

1 willing to sell or 1 owning a set?

The price is also a question of the condition, there are a lot of played summer cards in circulation, just because not everybody know what they are and how rare they are.

owning Image

It's still a difference between owning and willing to sell, if nobody wants to sell his set, then the price is undefined.

btw. afaik there is more than 1 complete set

I know, that's why I was wondering how much this would be valued if auctioned by Sotheby's and the likes for instance.

I think not. I think that 90% of summer magic cards are pack fresh, 5% are NM- and 5% lower than NM-.

They're really not a lot of "played condition" summer magic cards.
Only demonic tutors, regrowth and cards like that are hard to find in mint condition.

You must be a big collector with a great experience........

I see a lot of cards and on Ebay auctions.

R: 1 or 2 MINT, others SP (the most), HP, NM (- or +)

U: Serra Angel, Demonic Tutor, "Blue" Hurricane: 3 or 4 MINT (others see R)

U/C: Rough estimate: 10% MINT, 40% NM (- or +), 50% SP/HP

This is only my personal opinion.
