Andy Heckt (of Wizards) just posted this on Judge list:

Subject: Possible additional rares in TSP boosters

FYI -

Due to a collation change I wanted you all to be aware that TSP boosters
can contain more than one "rare".
For instance: foils now replace commons, so a rare foil could replace a
common.

Don't be shocked, remember in limited, what you open is legal.

Andy
From a perosn who still hand assembles their own sets, this is great news. I often had little use for any foils that appeared, and often was perturbed by getting a foil rare in place of a rare I needed. More ofthen than not, it is not a pricey rare, but still the effort needed regardless. Also for any sealed events, this is cool news as well. Rares often are better powered overall, so a few lucky people get a slight chance increase of better builds.

Actually, it's *bad* news for limited. It makes luck mean much more than skill, and it messes up the draft quite well. Like, if you get a booster with a common missing, now it could mean anything -- that they happened to get a Timeshifted card or even a foil rare, making signaling in beginning more hazy.

Relax Dragsamou.
I speak in a polite way, it was just a little question, even interrogations about that...
"Tout le monde peut se tromper, même moi, même toi" so we says.
A forum is to discuss with open mind and not in a prior way.
Peace !

Hi.
I'm more than Relax, and I do answer also in a Polite way. But,when I spend so much time making sure that the info is 100% valuable and adding a scan to proove the authenticity,at least question of the existance of the Foils Purple should not be an interrogation anymore.I did have already the answer last night about the foils, what I needed was a scan, well a French MTG shop decides to open some and present 291/301 scans of cards from the T.S. Set,as well as the Foil Purple Version of Eron the Relentless, everything as been taking out of their website now,it was a very early show to follow,MTG Salvation Members and others didn't miss a second of it.....

Mon Pére m'avait probablement appris bien avant:"Tourne ta langue 7 fois dans ta bouche avant de parler " celà t'évitera de te tromper ;-)

There's a timeshifted card in every pack, so that's easy to figure out.

;-) Yeps... dragsamou.

That's why I have reply : "possible finaly" just after that in a message.

I have asked myself (like you surely) this possibilities several days ago and I was also waiting some confirmations from US friends.
Frenchs site often takes infos from magiclibrary, my site and mtgsalvation that's why.
You know as me how complex could be mtg and I'm sure you are in the same excitation standing to open some boosters pack :-||
For your brainstorm Coldsnap TD I have check the flavour text it's the same...
Where do you see a difference ? or other cards perhaps from this "set". ?
Do you know if the chinese cards from this theme decks Coldsnap has alternate art, normaly yes but I don't have any confirmations about ?
Thx

Comme disait my grand mother : "Ne mettons pas les macaronis dans la soupe avant d'avoir bien remué les légumes" :-D :-D

Yeps rules text. ;-)
That's normal it is an update of the erratas/oracles like Stephen d'Angelo make it very well.
Same things for the purple one, the Texts are differents because rules and terms has change with the time and this cards are legal in type 2 so an update has been made on them :-/
For this coldsnap theme deck there's an other post it in the forum.
Don't remember where but you'll find the same questions about them.
Let's talk here ... beautiful purple timeshifted here, like for example psionic blast foil... mmmmmm..... :-||

Greetings Dragsamoo

OK, maybe. It still doesn't tell you even remotely *what* could that timeshifted card be.

Hi there,

For the Brainstrom is differences are clear :

Ice Age :

Code: Select all

Draw three cards; then, take two cards from your hand and put them on top of your library in any order
Ice Age (New Age)

Code: Select all

Draw three cards, then put two cards from your hand on top of your library
... But in the flavor text, nothing has been change :'-(

Erm, nor would the rare be missing tell you anything...except that they got a rare. It, slightly, adds to the 'unknown' factor during drafting, but not a ton.

Now headaches for registering, well, that's a whole new can of worms..;-)
