Is Planar Chaos the least misprinted set ever?

Post by squt » Tue Mar 13, 2007 8:25 pm

Hey guys-

It has been pretty quiet on the misprint/error front with Planar Chaos. I'm talking more about Errors, actually, not individual printing misprints. The only one I have heard about is the German Necrotic Sliver, which was mistranslated to make the owner of the targeted permanet sacrifice it, not destroy it.

Anyone hear of any other errors in translation or casting cost or even flavor text in Planar Chaos? I was kind of expecting a timeshifted card with the black font or something...anything...but I haven't heard anything. Kudos to WOTC.

If you're talking about versions without the stamp, that's the kind of printing misprint I don't keep track of. What I'm looking for is a mistake in casting cost, or translation, or even the shading on an activation cost that appears in every printing or a substantial number of printings. For example, every single Portuguese Callow Jushi has 2 expansion symbols.

So far, I've heard about almost nothing on PC.

If im remembering correctly i read on this forums that stacks of pre-release cards came with one without a stamp on top, so that would not be a misprint.

Again, this is a printing error - not every copy of Hedge troll is like this.

Anyone out there in non-english land find any mistakes in your native tongue?

1:10000 really? Isnt it just a cutline from the edge of 2 sheets as opposed to the ends?
Never argue with an Idiot, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

what does
"This card is unique, probably only 1 every 10.000 exists of this type." mean?

by looking at the japanese mtg site, it seems like there's no text error in planar choas. There were few in time sprial though.

Hey Azure-

I'm not familiar with any of the text errors in japanese Time Spiral - can you elaborate?

Thanks!

There actually used to be judges spoilers for each set that WOTC released that included translation errors - anyone have a link to those for Time Spiral block?

Like the FAQ change, WotC don't do error compilations anymore. I think they are trying to reduce the chance of any amount of information being released early (which I support)

We (judges) do hear about things like the necrotic sliver through chats with other judges, and some inspired fellows do collate them (usually you squt!) - but no 'official' misprint supplier, sadly.
