I read somewhere that these were only being distributed in the UK since the Champs program got the axe in the US. Can anyone confirm that?

EDIT: I'm rather disappointed in the Paragon. We had an Elf last time, there are TONS of other great uncommons they could have used.

It says so right on the website
"Wizards of the Coast has decided to revamp our Organized Play offerings in 2008 in order to make Magic available to the most players possible. We are redesigning the States/Champs programs for both the Two-Headed Giant and Standard formats. As such we will not be running the 2HG States/Champs event normally run in March or the Standard event that takes place in the fall. The 2HG events previously scheduled for Great Britain and Ireland will still take place. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to having a new invigorated program for you later this year."

So the only place they have champs is
Great Britain & Ireland

Wiz will probably find somewhere to dump the excess promos (just look at that tournament thingy they had last year where they gave away promos sitting around since 1999 like memory lapse), but in the mean time that vault will be "Teh Valuable".

Someone over in this thread:
http://www.magiclibrarities.net/forum/v ... php?t=5815

Mentioned these may have been released in Japan and Italy. Can anyone confirm this? What program would have been under, since we concluded Champs/2HG would only be held in UK/Ireland this year?

Hm, since I only find those on Bay UK and not on Bay IT I would say only UK, since this has always been a good indicator were cards have been released. For Japan no idea.
