From the Vault : Exiled - Pretty Limited in Europe

Post by magic-belgium » Mon Aug 10, 2009 6:35 pm

Our friends in Germany could translate and sum up the message I received today from my German wholesaler :

Achtung : Hiobsbotschaft !
Magic - From the Vault : Exiled

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Liebe Kunden,

it is limited around here too... one place is expecting 20 and no preorders. I am not sure if online store does preorders or not either. I think they are anticipating ebayers again like the dragons set. I just want one copy of necropotence and gifts ungiven

This is quite a ridiculous situation if you ask me, wizards finally releases something halfway decent and of course everyone wants one but none are anywhere to be found. None of the local dealers are actually going to have access to them here in South Eastern Ohio. I actually talked to stores whose owners said their suppliers arent even returning their calls!

When these are released world wide are they going to be printed in other languages???

As far as I know From the Vaults: Exiled will be available only in English. Just like its predecessor From the Vaults: Dragons.
I want my sheep! Collecting Ovinize, any and all languages.

If the total is 10,000, I doubt there will be more than 5,000 in Europe.

Rumor in France say 5000 for Europe 10000 for USA and 5000 for Asia, so a total of 20000.

Same as FTV:Dragons, but in realty, they will be more i think.

Forgot to say that the price is higher than for Dragons.

Wholesale price was 14 Euros something, it is now close to 18 Euros.

Has a raise in "official" price been announced ?

Meaning he wants to make his customers pay more than the official price ?

I know a store who did this last year... It is closed now.

we have a store here that gouges on singles... they buy like 1/2 of the price and sell 25% more... Too bad the only competition they had stopped doing magic because of a stupid incident. People hate this store but it is the only one that has magic tournies so they have to put up with it.

I kinda don't blame them. I imagine that if stores don't "gouge" then people show up to get their copie/s and then try and make an immediate profit on Ebay or whatever. That's the way it seems to be these days, more or less, with mostly everything of this nature...

Many stores know their customers, and they know who would sell and who would not.

So, it's not fair to gouge.

It is looking like my store gets 16 or so. Here is the thing, I feel, being American, we get shafted a lot when it comes to special WoTC rewards. APAC, Euro, MPS, etc have all come out and have been hard for Americans to get ahold of. It is about time we get something good in my opinion
