Premium Deck : Slivers - To be or not to be Limited

Post by magic-belgium » Mon Sep 21, 2009 4:51 pm

Hi guys,

Today I got a formular for the pre-order of the Slivers decks.

Pre-orders are for boxes of 4 decks, which is quite surprising.

This is supposed to be limited, so I was wondering if you heard anything about supplies of this.

I will try to get 8, so in case someone needs one or can't get it, there will be an opportunity to get it cheaper.

I am not sure if I can post the wholesale price here, but for those interested, they can pm me.

Thanks !

Does anyone happen to know where the Premium Deck Series will fit into the overall rarity scheme? Back when From the Vaults:Exiled was released, I heard from a store owner that it would be of a similar rarity to those releases. However, now it seems like my local shop has plenty. Not quite as many as the Duel Deck series, but certainly more than the From the Vaults.

Anyone have any idea if I should stock up on them now and pay for my kid's college later... or should I just get my one copy for the collection and move on?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I could easily order 12 from my wholesaler. I got only 1 From the Vault.

I think it won't make big bucks in the future - not very limited, not very playable, not worth as an investment

just my 2 cent

I'm afraid none of the new products WotC releases is to be considered as an investment for the future.

FTV boxes were sold for the most part on Ebay. The price will remain the same (or go slightly down) for a long time.

Unless you could get a lot from the wholesalers (at wholesalers' price), it is not an investment.

Slivers cost 14 Euros (excl. taxes) from the wholesalers. Same for FTV.

They are beautiful. Far too cool to play.

All the cards--including lands are foil.

I will agree that when casual players find out what it is like to play a sliver deck against a sliver deck the popularity will wane...

And the quality of the foil layer is much better than the foil layer quality from FTV sets...

Warning Though!!!!

If any of you put this set in a binder so you can enjoy the beautiful cards--don't be too shocked when you put them in numeric order. Card #1 is the Metalic Sliver and it goes down hill from there.

The lands, however are in correct order.... ROTFL.......................

I just want a ton of those foil basics :(
I LOVE Tempest land pictures. If any one opens a bunch of these ... and has extra basics ... keep me in mind yes?
