A little professional secret. I never use the bend test to show that a card is good. I use it to destroy fake cards.

I always made real sure that a card is a fake--then I apply the bend test. Happened with a Time Walk once, Snapped like a potato chip. The guy was upset (or acted so) tell we "discovered" there was no blue layer. Maybe not nice of me but the guy was trying to rip a player for $90.00 (yes awhile back) and I just couldn't let that happen.
