Eight Edition Box Topper Cards

Post by the swiss » Fri Mar 19, 2010 11:25 am

All the 33 cards exist with square corners.

Six promotional box topper cards:

I never seen "Beta Corners" or "Square Corners", only "Alpha Corners"
(release in US).

Please feedback. Thanks.

Hi Josef
2 Different Versions exist, "Alpha" and "Beta" corners, for all the 33 cards, look at the scans:

Hi Alexis

I known:

US/ASIA = Alpha Corners (allready on RARITIES)
EUROPE = Beta Corners (allready on RARITIES)

With "Square Corners", I give only a missing Info (not yet on RARITIES)

I still waith on a feedback for the 6 Promo Cards.

Hi Josef
I must have misunderstood your post, so you have these Box Toppers with Square corners? Where do they come from? As, I will need to add this info, when I will update to the New version of Eighth Edition Box Topper Cards.Regarding the 6 Promos Box Toppers, I never seen them with a different corner than the "Alpha" one, I hope a Member, can prove that "Beta" or "Square corners" ones exist.

Square Corners:

I think TESTPRINTS, because

- New format
- no Magic Back, but enlarged version of the card art on the back

Do you have some with Magic backs? All my 8th and 9th have art on the backs and all have "Alpha" corners.

I don't know what process is used for cutting the corners so is it possible the square corners are just a mistake or do you think they were done that way for issue to dealers or someone for display purposes?
