Should they have the blue layer in them?
Hi Peter.
CardZ is a MTG Thai Magazine,so No Carta Mundi
Yes Alexis, I know its a Thai Magazine.
What I thought about was if they had them printed them self or was provided with the cards from WotC? I have no idea how such stuff work.
If they printed them themself maby the real ones have no blue layer?
Hi Peter.
Don't expect that I will tear up the Silver Drake to verify :-D
FYI mine had the blue layer. whatever that may tell. (my Rager that is)

I would imagine all CardZ promo's will have the blue layer, as another printing would have just stamped the logo on pre-existing Apocalypse/Planeshift cards. I would think that if they went through all the trouble to print the Rager/Drake cards themselves, that the logo would be identical.

On another note, I thought it was interesting that the Thai store owner that sold Henri his Ragers managed to find one copy of the Rager to sell to him, but then weeks later had 100 copies. Although if it was the former owner of The CardZ magazine, I guess its possible.

It would be really nice to know how these cards were produced. :-\

Mark, yes later fakes would just be stamped AP/PS cards but if originals was printed by them on similar paperstock (possible?) the originals would not?

The CardZ cards I've got are all stamped AP/PS...
I really think the originals should be just stamped.

Peter,
what about your contact, did he suddenly have more than one Silver Drake?

Mark,
where did you get the Rager on the right side from?

Chris

I have included scans of my two Silver Drakes as per request. As you can see, the one on the left has a thicker stamp than on the right.

Hi Peter.
I have to admit that Singapore is one of the places for Fakes, knowing you for years now as one of the most honnest and friendly Collector,do not worry,I went through that years ago,at least, what's very positive is that with the help of some Members a Fake study has been made and we are able to identified them very easily now.

On another note, once I receive my sealed copy of The CardZ magazine #5.0 with Phyrexian Rager inside, I should be able to tell which version is original, and which ones are fake. That is, of course, provided the sealed magazine itself isn't a fake... ](*,) Where does it end??

Hi Mark.
I have been living in Asia almost 3 years,I have always been amazed at what speed, they were able to copy almost anything within hours.Regarding the Sealed CardZ Magazine that we have in a trade,I do not worry so much and otherwise it will join my Fake Study district
