Hello.

I found this misprint Ishan's Shade from Japanese collector's binder. PROTO TYPE?

What does the Collector want for it?

Is the back white, or does it have a normal MtG back?

I'm interested if you care to part with it.

Apocalypse1150,

Is "PROTO TYPE" actually printed on the card?

If so, I'm interested in acquiring the Shade if the collector is willing to part with it. Cards, $$$, etc. I am very interested in this card.

This Shade, along with a Charging Paladin foil test print, would be incredible additions to my Paladin global collection.

Now that is real interesting. Is there a chance it could have been added after printing? Looks like the font is different.

Any info on where the collector got it?

Besides "PROTO TYPE", is there any other variations anyone has noticed? Nothing stands out to me at all.

Would be neat to have some high res scans or something.

Homelands was released in 95, the same time as 4th edition right? This is when WotC was shopping around for more printers to contract with in the US. Is it possible that the handful of Shade variations that exist are from different printing companies WotC was considering at the time?

It seems a bit sketchy to me. I would want to know more about where the collector got it from because I can't help but think that wizards, and to a greater extent, the printing company would know that "proto type" is actually one word "prototype". Might be a fake of some sort.

Maybe this is irrelevant, but there is several copies of this card- in some non-English language- with the front on both sides. Each side is upside down to the other.

Just sayin'. Not sure if it's an AP or some purposeful print, or just an error.

Cool, but not something I've ever heard of.

Not saying that makes it fake by any means, especially cause it was before my time too, since I started in 2000.

Seems like I would have heard of it though...

Are these all in the same language and is there any variations in the printing?

Gary, so far as I know they are all the same, but not English. Something other that Chinese, Japanese, Korean. Wish I had one, but I never liked the price tag.

Backside is normal Magic card.
He said this misprint got from fresh pack.

If he allows fake/real test, I inspect. Maybe I can meet him at GP Kobe in 2011 March. (And I ask him trade and/or high res scan.)

Hiromichi.
