Seeking information about Lu Bu, Master-at-Arms promo cards

Post by skirk1983 » Wed Mar 05, 2014 12:56 pm

Hi all,

I'm collecting a nm/m Portal Three Kingdoms english set. I then came across some pre-release cards or promo cards. I had a set before but have never heared about these two promos.

The card is Lu Bu, Master-at-Arms, and there should exist a April and July version.

Do someone have any knowledge about these promos? They were released in 1999 before the set itself? How did you get them back in 1999? In boosters or?

Thanks

Kristian

Thanks Alexis,

But how did you get a promo card at that time? On events or something?

Question:

Was there any prerelease in the US or any S-Chinese country?

Hi Gary

To my knowledge only in Japan and Singapore to get the Prerelease card, but I find this document about P3K Prerelease events held in Australia:
http://oracle.wizards.com/scripts/wa.ex ... ia-l&P=753
So few Prerelease cards were also available there.

The rescheduled event is set down for Sunday 11th July!

Everything stays the same, except the date and location (back to ANU
John Dedman 101). Luke DeSailly and Dan Bamford will share
organisational responsibilities on the day; sign-up sheet is at Logical
Choice and yes, you *do* need to sign up again, even if you were signed
up for the fist one! However, EMailing me or calling Glenn will get you
on the list (you can pay on the day).

A reminder that those who received their Pre-Release card last Sunday are
not eligible for another one; we have just 16 or so of the cards left,
and they will go to the first 16 new sign-ups ("paid-up attendees").

Regards,

David.
