The Magic Librarities

Greeting my fellow collectors. Perhaps this has been addressed already in the other threads, but upon using the forum search function, the sheer number of results I got somewhat deterred me from pursuing more.

My question is as follows: What warrants the Force of Will DCI Judge Promo card to cost more than $900 in the market? Is it truly rare (only dozens exist?) Or does the premium comes from being a powerful card desired by many? Does anyone know how many of these cards were produced?

Also, I believe along with the Force of Will, other Judge Promos were released during the same year. Do they also carry that kind of premium? Were they issued in similar numbers?

It was awarded to far fewer Judges than regular Judge promos. In particular, it was only awarded to judges that certified other judges or some such. One reddit poster speculated that there are only 1,000 or so such judges:

Thank you for the info. I read somewhere that there are fewer than 1,000 or so Force of Will cards issued as part of 2014 Judge Promo. But my question is wern't ALL Judge Promos in 2014 issued in equal numbers? They were handed out in random? All 14 of them? Wern't all issued in equal numbers?

The reddit link discusses how the Judge FoW's were handed out. The basic lands were given to every judge, per this:

I'm not sure how the others were handed out. Probably as rewards for judging various events.

Maybe they were printed in equal numbers (altho that seems unlikely) but they were definitely not handed out at random. At least not all of them.

The first reddit.com link I provided links to wizards.com which also says how the Judge FoW's were only handed out to judge's who certified other judges so those, at the very least, are not random.
