Now I have written down that my Japanese Boosters are all made in Belgium so I will go away and double check them.
If there are also Japanese Boosters made in the USA I guess I have some more to look for!
Yes, you need to double check. Why you have in your file, 2 different boosters English Made in USA (b and c) ?

For some reason there are boosters with the Gold foil and boosters with the Orange foil, I am guessing they are made at different facilities in the United States but I will know more once I have a chance to compile all the research together!

Hi Mark

That's correct, I forgot about that Gold/Orange issue affecting a bunch of boosters (we made a compilation in one of the comments in this thread).

The Multiverse Gift Box may hold more surprises :)

I must buy a Multiverse Gift Box, and a Vanguard one as well so I can confirm all these boosters as I have no idea whether my boosters are from the boxes or not.

Did the Multiverse Gift Box have a Blue German Renaissance Booster? The pictures look like the Red one to me.
Well, I opened up my Multiverse Gift Box, quite satisfying.

I got a Blue German Renaissance, everything was narrow crimps as well.

Not much extra info, I did notice that the Japanese Chronicles booster was a narrow crimp and the one I got from a booster box was wide crimped. Not sure if it means anything but nice to have one of each anyway.

A few anomalies.

Traditional Chinese has "Printed in USA by Shepard Poorman"; Korean just has "Made in USA" Why would the same company have two different ways of identifying their products in the same series?

Why does the Traditional Chinese wrapper have a mustard yellow 'foil' and the Korean have the standard gold foil wrapper if they were both manufactured in the same facility? At least the crimps seem to match.

Looks like a decent mix of wide and narrow crimps, I will make a full note of them presently.

Hi Mark

I believe that this came from that old topic:
http://www.magiclibrarities.net/forum/v ... g&start=45

But Korean wasn't mentioned here:
https://web.archive.org/web/20150109185 ... rd_Poorman

As this is still a mystery about the involvement of Shepard Poorman both in Mirage and Korean 4Th Edition. I will add this:
4th Edition Black Border (1995-1996) 5
Traditional Chinese was printed by Shepard Poorman.

Made in Belgium: Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish
Made in USA: Korean, Traditional Chinese
Existence: Korean (Made in USA printed by Shepard Poorman)
Doesn't exist: English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Simplified Chinese
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tOJCKj ... SwGDE/view

I've added also existence of Mirage (Printed in Canada)

To be confirmed : a seller in France is selling Mirage boxes printed in Canada, but they are terribly expensive, so I will wait.
Mirage (October 1996) 7
Shepard Poorman also printed at least some of the Mirage print run, this info couldn't be fully verified.

Made in Belgium: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish
Made in USA: English
Doesn't exist: Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese
Existence: English (Made in/Printed in Canada), English (Made in USA printed by Shepard Poorman), English (blister pack). "Grinning Totem" illustration for Portuguese and Spanish boosters.

That is all a bit confusing, hopefully with a bit more work on the boosters and crimps a pattern will emerge. Certainly the crimps on Mirage Made in USA and the Fourth Edition Made in USA boosters are consistent.

Time will tell.

Cheers for the links.

Hi Mark

Yes this is confusing, but I'm sure that there's a rational explanation to solve those mysteries, just so far we don't have a precised answer, I forgot to mentioned that Ice Age cards exist with black core glue (Which was used by Shepard Poorman). So for now, let's just stick to verified info (the existence line is made for the others).

Reminder topic about printed Foreign sets:
http://www.magiclibrarities.net/forum/v ... d&start=30

I will add the known release dates according to verified info in the 4Th Edition Black border subsection on the first page

4th Edition Black Border (1995-1996) 5
Traditional Chinese was printed by Shepard Poorman.
Japanese: April 10th 1996
Portuguese: Summer of 1995 (after Spanish ?)
Spanish: July 1995
Korean: ? 1996
Traditional Chinese: August 23rd 1996

Made in Belgium: Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish
Made in USA: Korean, Traditional Chinese
Existence: Korean (Made in USA printed by Shepard Poorman)
Doesn't exist: English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Simplified Chinese
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tOJCKj ... SwGDE/view

I have added links to the topics about sealed boosters as well at the beginning of the first page in INTERNAL LINKS

It could explain why Visions has several different crimps in the "Made in USA" boosters.
Image

The Visions Preview Booster and the Mirage "Made in USA" boosters both have the same crimps as the known Shepard Poorman product Traditional Chinese Fourth Edition.

Oh well, I will keep looking.
