Made in Belgium:
Made in the USA: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese,
To be verified: Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish (I have these but for some reason did not record where they were made, they all have the USA crimp though but I will confirm)
Exist?:Traditional Chinese, Korean, Russian

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3z_eB ... sp=sharing

Wizards or Hasbro or whoever have not designated a three letter code to the set. I can add one myself, FRP for 'Fate Reforged Prerelease" and then just hope that they don't bring out a set later on using that code. Or I can stick in a wildcard such as FR@ which they will most likely never use but it will look a bit odd.

Still haven't decided quite how I want to proceed as there are quite a few without code. Maybe a single letter or symbol to identify all pre release boosters will be in order but that is something I will work out as I get closer to the end of the project. Any suggestions are always welcomed.

Added on the first page The 3 languages in "Existence" cards are on the Gatherer, I didn't find pics anywhere else so far. As a matter of fact those are Promotional boosters, this time it took place for a Prerelease but in the future it can be aimed for another program, so P should stand for Promotional not only Prerelease. FRP then sounds correct.

Update to Magic 2013
Magic 2013 Core Set (July 2012) 11
A blister version exists (WOC ?)
Made in USA: Japanese
To be verified: English, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese
Magic 2013 Core Set (July 2012) 11
A blister version exists (WOC ?)
Made in Belgium: French, German, Italian, Russian
Made in USA: English, English 6 Pack (with and without security tag) Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Traditional Chinese

Looks like all my "Made in Belgium" boosters have the wide crimp so no idea if there are any narrow varieties.

No idea about the blister pack, don't have any.

Do you mean this style Image

or the cardboard ones

What do you mean precisely ? Anti-theft device that are added by the store ?

Yes Mark, J hook or Blister pack exist for a bunch of different MTG sealed products since 5Th Edition and Mirage expansion. I mention them whenever I find new ones for:
BOOSTER PACKS
PRECONSTRUCTED THEME DECKS
STARTER DECKS & TOURNAMENT PACKS
TWO-PLAYER STARTER DECKS
etc.

The WOC number on the package is always different, and the WOC number for the same MTG Product inside the blister can be different also. Also the Made in Belgium or Made in USA is another possibility.

I am sure you have seen one of these before, not sure what they are called so I call them Security Tags!

Security Tag
Image

They are inside the package, attached to a white card, not all boosters have them.

Ok, no need to mention those, yes, they are added by some stores as anti-thief device, they don't come from the factory. Thanks to confirm my first thought.

They are actually sealed inside the booster, I guess they must be added in the factory but not to every booster.

Certainly not something a shop could add.

Interesting that they attached it to a card, shame it is blank on both sides.

Hi Mark

I'm confused now, Magic 2013 Core Set, when you open a 6-card booster the security tag is inside the booster (so 6 cards + security tag) ? Are those boosters made by WOTC or are they repack from resale stores like Target, Walmart, etc. ?

When you open a 6-card booster the security tag is inside the booster (so 6 cards + security tag) ? That's how it appears, yes.

Are those boosters made by WOTC or are they repack? They look to be WOTC.

Not just the M13 Set, pretty much every English retail 6 pack that I have in my collection comes with and without the internal security tag. As far as I can tell there is no sign of any opening or resealing taking place.

I also found it confusing, as an anti theft device you can easily feel the device through the wrapper so if you were going to steal one you would just pick the packs without the lump in them. If it is to stop someone walking away with a whole box of them then why isn't the security tag attached to the box?

If it is such a good idea why are there not other boosters with these in?

If you are going to add a card into the booster, why not stick some advertising on it at the same time?

All in all a very confusing system and a real pain to collect as they are relatively scarce, I once bought 17 from a seller on eBay and only 2 had the tags.
