Just received this in the mail does anyone have any information on this? The auction description was that this came out of a 5th Edition Starter deck as the 61st card. The card is slightly oversized and it looks to have a black card stock core. The back is not pix-elated like normal MTG cards either.

This is just a question more for my curiosity as I have little experience dealing with sun-faded cards, but in the absence of the black X on the back, is this what an MTG card back would look like if sun-bleached?

I highly doubt this is what a sun-bleached card would look like. I would expect it to turn grey before it would go blue on the edge.

We have a similar card on the site in slot 001 in the filler section but this has a different front. Not sure if there were multiple fronts for these or if this is from a whole other set all together.

why would it be "slightly oversized" though? fillers should have the same cut, right? that part confuses me.
Also the print pattern... too many questions

I can understand the print pattern. I'm not sure how the printing process goes but if the card back is printed in stages this could be why the back does not have a pix-elation pattern. There's no reason why they would waste time printing a complete back on a filler card. This card is exactly the same back wise with 001 on the forums. I'm not sure who owns 001 but I would love to see a scan of that card. The oversize part doesn't really worry me because fillers come in all different sizes.

I have been told that this is from the early days of filler cards and it sounds correct.
