I did not win guys :(

I had a class at the auction end time. I was actually considering asking someone here to snipe it for me, but I have been out of magic long enough that I don't know people that well. I put a bid of $1585 right before I left for class, the high bid was around $700 with 1hr left.

When I got home, I see that I was outbid. I was a bit bummed (been looking for that card for nearly 10 years), but I really could not have gone much higher than the $1585. We also don't know how much that person bid.

The first Royal that I had ever seen and a "nostalgic" card so I guess not too suprising it could break $1500.

Only in summer magic a Royal could be worth more than a dual land :)

Thanks Hayden, the search goes on :-D

The summer audience is fairly broad, many of you didn't even bid, all that previous summer, a down economy and still a high price. Good for the current owners of cards.

Question, are there any new estimates on how many of each rare exist? When I was active the estimates were 5 or so. We can account for at least 5 Shivans. Recent ebay, pickle, ABU, and the 2 complete sets.

I'm wondering if there isn't more like 10 of each rare (depending on the card). I have opened 5+ boxes of revised and only ever pulled 1 Shivan. So probably a few cases got out.

Some summer cards were picked out of the trash too, and because the good cards were picked out instead of the Jandor's Saddlebags-ish cards, we are on the average going to see a distribution that is fat tailed towards the good cards. And the hurricane.

My current guesstimate is between 12-18 of each rare.

Bad Moon: $636
Hyp Spec: $342.45
Llanowar Elves: $187.50
Dark Ritual: $348
PSA 9 Bolt: $255

Balance, Regrowth and Terror on eBay. If possible, I'd call dibs on the Balance. :)

Lots of low prices. The seller is running the Summer collectors out of money.

Tell me about it... I cried when I saw the Balance come up. :-(

I almost did not want to win the HS but at that price I could not pass it up.

The Balance is going to see some high numbers without a doubt. There are a few members looking for one. I don't see it ended less then $1500.

Well, I'm fighting on two fronts. Test Prints + Summer = sad wallet. In any case, I'll definitely be bidding on the Balance. I've been searching for one for too long. I really hope the other cards I have a soft spot for don't come out straight after the balance.

Both the ritual and the bolt ended for very low too. Bad Moon was at its expected price. Elves too.

I was surprised the Terror went for that high. But someone got a great deal on that Regrowth imo.

I'm very surprised the Balance didn't go higher. The regrowth was kind of expected.

Both the Regrowth and the Balance did not go for more due to empty pockets
