No this one I met a year ago and we just hit it off really well. Thank you I'm starting to get a little nervous and my Summer collection is feeling the pain from all these bills. =(

I cannot believe the Mana Vault sold for over $3500! I have a feeling that the winner is probably going to try to back out of this one LOL. And I doubt the runner up will take up the 2nd Chance Offer.

This is what happens when you get two people who WAY overbid in hopes to ride everyone else's reasonable bids to the top to win... Not a bad plan until someone else comes along with the same plan (a Seller's wet dream lol).

Lesson Learned: It does not matter if you are bidding early to ride to the top or if you are a sniper
... Bid the max of what the item is worth to you, and no higher!

It only takes two bidders to drive an auction price through the roof - Case in point.

BTW: Gratz to the seller!! :)

It's a playable Vintage rare; I know people were waiting for this one and I'm a bit surprised that it didn't go higher. When's the last time you saw a Summer Mana Vault available?

Good point, but I don't see it being on par with a Summer Underground Sea.

Although frequency of availability (i.e. Supply & Demand) are always factors as well... But then again most Edgar Rares would fall into that category.

$900 for regrowth? Is it even supposed to be that high?

Nah, a typical summer regrowth would be nowhere near 900. It must be noted that this seller is getting a lot of premium for his cards being in VERY good condition. If the scans are accurate, those are some of the mint-est summer cards I've seen.

Can the Summer Sea reach 5k?

I finished 2nd in the bidding for the Tropical Island $880 eBay 6/18/2003. I remember my parents were watching me bid at the end and they were so relieved that I lost. $800+ for a Magic card was insane to them :)

I don't think it will reach 5k, and I don't think a non-graded sea (however nice the scan looks, and the scan looks very nice) would be worth 5k on the open market. It'll probably end for somewhere between 4-4.5k, judging from the premiums the seller has been getting for the other cards he has sold.

I agree ouallada. Will be fun to watch it go down.
